One of Estonia’s best known MMA fighters, Maikel Astur, has signed a contract with Evecon RAJU, the biggest MMA league in the Baltic States. In accordance with the contract, Astur’s next three fights in Estonia will exclusively take place at the Evecon Raju arena.
Astur Praises Raju’s Professionalism and Future Potential
Astur says his decision to sign the contract was based on the exceptional professionalism of the league’s organisers. “Evecon Raju is the highest-level league and attention is paid to every detail,” he said. “Everything is carefully planned, from the fighter’s walk-out to what the security guards do. All of that assured me that this is an organisation I want to be part of.”
The experienced fighter feels that the league’s potential extends well beyond Estonia. “I can see Raju growing into a leading European event,” he said. “I’ve never felt as comfortable anywhere as I do with them, or experienced such respect for the fighters. That degree of regard was what decided it for me. And I can be sure now that there’ll be two matches a year I can count on. That creates the sort of stability that’s rare in combat sports.”

The next event – Evecon RAJU 18 – will take place on 20 September at Tondiraba Ice Hall in Tallinn.
