The opponent for Estonia’s rising MMA star Maikel Astur (4-0) in the main event of Evecon Raju 18 has been announced. He will face experienced Polish fighter Oskar “Shrek” Herczyk (9-6) inside the cage.
Maikel Astur Delivers Knockout at Raju 17, Inks Exclusive Deal
Maikel Astur (29), who has a background in kickboxing and is known for his precise striking and engaging style, remains undefeated and has quickly risen among the top MMA talents in the Baltic region. His most recent victory came on February 22 at the Evecon Raju 17 event, where he knocked out Romanian Damian Zaharia in the final second of the first round. Astur recently also signed an exclusive contract with the Raju league, reaffirming his commitment to the Estonian audience and the local organization.
Astur Confident Ahead of Next Fight: “Experienced Opponents Are Nothing New to Me”
“I’m glad to be matched with such an experienced opponent — it means I have to push myself to the limit and show the audience just how high my level really is. At the same time, experienced opponents are nothing new to me: I’ve had 35 professional kickboxing matches. At RAJU 16, I also faced a very seasoned Brazilian, Alisson Marreira, whom I managed to beat,” said Maikel Astur.

Oskar Herczyk (28), also known by the nickname “Shrek,” represents the Baltic Fighters MMA club in Gdańsk. The Pole has fought in 34 amateur and 15 professional bouts. His strength lies in wrestling, and with his aggressive style, he poses a serious threat to Maikel Astur. His most notable opponents have included Michael Dubois and Michelangelo Colangelo.
“I’m an aggressive striker with heavy hands. I constantly try to pressure my opponent and close the distance to combine wrestling and striking in close combat, aiming for a win or even a finish,” said Oskar Herczyk.
