Raigo “The Estonian Bear” Kutsar is preparing for a new challenge, stepping into the cage on September 20 at Tondiraba Ice Hall in Estonia for the Baltics’ leading MMA event, Evecon Raju. His opponent will be Georgian fighter Nika Bregvadze.
Raigo Kutsar’s Track Record: Fast Knockouts, Fierce Battles
Raigo Kutsar is a bronze medalist at the IMMAF World Cup (2021) and a Baltic MMA champion (2021). He has competed in approximately 25–30 amateur bouts. Known for his versatile fighting style, Kutsar’s matches are marked by dynamic action and excitement.
Kutsar’s professional MMA career so far has been impressive — all his fights have ended before the final bell. He also holds the record for the fastest knockout in recent Raju league history: 17 seconds, achieved at Raju 15.
His most recent appearance was at Raju 17, where he faced Polish fighter Mateusz Rybak in one of the event’s most intense and memorable battles. It was a tough and high-paced duel that was stopped by the referee after the second round due to significant swelling around Kutsar’s eye.
Bregvadze Returns to RAJU — Ready to Finish What He Started
Born in 2001 in Tbilisi, Bregvadze is more than ten years younger than Kutsar and is known for both his well-rounded fighting style and strong fighting spirit. Bregvadze is already familiar to Estonian fans — at the previous Raju event in Tartu, he delivered a thrilling performance. Latvian fighter Ričards “Lionheart” Ozols struggled against Bregvadze’s strikes and submission attempts before managing to pin down the Georgian and secure a TKO victory.
“To be fair, his grappling is pretty solid,” said Raigo Kutsar when asked about his preparation for the fight. “But I’m not planning to reinvent the wheel here — I just need to impose my own game.”
Tõnissaar: “Both Fighters Have Something to Prove”
“I’m really looking forward to this fight,” said Ott Tõnissaar, CEO of Evecon Raju. “Both men delivered incredibly engaging and tense bouts at Raju 17, where every moment could have been decisive. That same kind of ‘don’t blink!’ matchup is on the horizon again now. Plus, the stakes are high — both have something to prove after coming off a loss. Raigo is durable and powerful, while Nika is sharp and unpredictable.”
The next event – Evecon RAJU 18 – will take place on 20 September at Tondiraba Ice Hall in Tallinn.
